25x25 magic square

Explanation 25x25 magic square

The 25x25 magic is odd and 5 squared. To construct a 25x25 magic square you can use the same construction methods to construct the 5x5, 7x7, 11x11, 13x13, 17x17, 19x19 and 23x23 magic square. To construct an ultra magic 25x25 square, use the same method to construct an ultra magic 9x9 square. Use 2x the same or 2 different 5x5 ultra magic squares to construct an ultra magic 25x25 square which is panmagic, 5x5 compact, symmetric and each 1/5 row/column/diagonal gives 1/5 of the magic sum.

Construction methods

The methods to construct a 25x25 magic square are:

Use the first five methods to construct simple, symmetric 25x25 magic squares.

Use the shiftmethode to construct panmagic 25x25 squares.

It is also possible to construct a panmagic & symmetric 25x25 square, if you use an ultamagic 5x5 magic square to produce a 25x25 composite magic square.

The ultra magic 25x25 square is panmagic, 5x5 compact, symmetric and each 1/5 row/column/diagonal gives 1/5 of the magic sum.

Pan 23x23 in 25x25, concentric [with diamond], and bimagic are specials.
